Vatican City Tours provides editorial information about visit formats, cultural sites and practical planning. Routes, access arrangements, opening programmes, prices and visit conditions may change. Visitors remain responsible for their own travel planning, documents, insurance, health needs, punctuality and compliance with local entry, security and venue requirements. Circumstances beyond a visitor's or provider's control may require an itinerary, timing or route to change.

Changes, availability & cancellations

Availability is subject to confirmation by the relevant provider. If a chosen format, timed entry or additional option cannot be confirmed, an alternative may be offered where appropriate. Any refund, amendment or cancellation arrangement is governed by the terms shown during the relevant booking process.

Read the cancellation terms attached to your selected visit before proceeding. Requests made close to a visit date may be limited by reserved access, provider capacity or venue rules. Weather, ceremonial activity, security procedures and operational changes do not necessarily create an entitlement to a refund.

Visit requirements

Allow adequate time before a scheduled visit for arrival and required security procedures. Entry to Vatican and other cultural sites may be refused or delayed where visitors do not meet current ticket, identification, security or conduct requirements.

Sacred spaces may require modest dress and respectful behaviour. Access to individual areas, including Saint Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, can vary because of ceremonies, crowd management, conservation work or other operational conditions.

Families, mobility items & luggage

Suitability for children, infants, prams and mobility needs can vary by route and venue. Review the practical notes for a selected visit before confirming plans, especially where museum access, stairs, security screening or extended walking are involved.

Large bags, suitcases, trolleys and other restricted items may not be accepted at cultural sites. Storage is not guaranteed. Visitors should travel light and follow instructions issued by venue security staff on the day.

Food, drinks & personal arrangements

Meals and refreshments are not included unless a specific visit description states otherwise. Plan personal arrangements, including onward travel and any accommodation-related storage, independently and leave sufficient time between activities.
